Basic is over.

I'm currently in Branson MI vacationing with the family.

As hard as it is, I'm waiting to talk to ya'll once I arrive home in the middle of next week.

very tired right now...

just got back from 5 hours on the slopes. it was grand....but i hurt. 'twas worth it though....i can now jump and board better than i could before, and that makes me happy.

i leave in a little over 2 weeks. i'm starting to panic.

hope all is well with everyone, i'd better get some shut-eye.

Tonight, I found myself wandering alone along a long-forgotten path.

Tonight I sat at a keyboard and mentally walked down a long-forgotten path, leaving behind the worries of this world.

I forgot about what other people might think of my playing. I forgot about needing a job. I forgot to wonder how I'm going to pay for ALERT. For less than an hour, my mind was at peace, soley commited to one purpose; playing the next note.

It was awesome. For some reason, the piano is the only place where I can lose myself this way. It blocks out all other distracting thoughts, and gives my soul room to breathe. I need more of that.  

Yo. Here's an update with the latest happenings-

Jan19th- Got laid off due to lack of work to keep my busy.

Jan 23rd- Had a phone interview with the ALERT people, got accepted into the program.

Jan 24th- Had an awesome night at youthgroup playing football with a few select guys, and playing a couple games of Jenga. God's really been blessing me through that ministry.

Jan 25th- Ordered 6 copies of "When Dreams Come True" to distribute among the small group for our study. Also ordered a knife for ALERT. It's pretty.

This weekend is going to be mad hectic-

Tonight I'll be ice skating with the youth group. Tomorrow is 1 of 2 graduation parties for my older sis. Sunday is the normal church and stuff, and then after that we've got party 2 of 2 for Tiff.

Fun times.  

Today I learned.....

...that hiking with an 80lb pack is tiring.

...that gun auctions aren't always cheap.

...that i get headaches if i sleep in.
